Toyzania is an online toy shop with an excellent selection of toys, gifts, and games. The toys are suitable for kids of all ages, inspire creativity, and encourage imaginative play. Their mission is to bring joy through toys.
Create an e-commerce website based on Shopify, and centralize all products and inventory. While simplifying the customer journey from landing on the website, to checkout, to delivery.
We started by analyzing all of the products available at Toyzania. Before moving on to wireframing, we had to organize the products, create categories, obtain descriptions and photographs, and monitor the inventory. Once all the content was in place, we setup the e-commerce store on Shopify.
To enhance the user's experience, we built wireframes to showcase the site usability. We incorporated the different categories, age ranges, and brands for simplicity in search.
We built a custom shop using Shopify to accommodate the requirements of the client. Apart from buying products, Toyzania offers gift wrapping & gift card services too. We've then configured Tap and Tabby as payment methods and trained the client on using the new, online store.
The challenge for this project was to translate an Instagram store, with manual inventory calculations, to an e-commerce website. All products descriptions, prices, and quantities were tracked on an Excel sheet and managed manually. While the client used a combination of Instagram & Whatsapp to complete purchases and deliveries.
Since most products were not categorized, our initial phase consisted of us linking & tagging products together before moving on to design.

To make sure that we were creating the right experience for customers, the client monitored the sale revenue of the online store. We found that the new website increased the geographical reach. With an e-commerce store, Toyzania was able to expand from Bahrain and reach customers in the GCC, along with increasing sales. Therefore, aiding them in their mission to bring joy through toys.
