Savur is a lifestyle savings mobile app that has the best offers and discounts. Whether you order online or visit the store, Savur allows you to redeem coupons and vouchers. With several different vendors such as cafes, restaurants, gyms, and beauty salons, all promotional offers are exclusive to users of the app.
The Savur app is on a mission to get you to start paying less and saving more. Whether it's food, gym memberships, or dental care, the app allows you to browse the top promotional offers.
The Goal
• New iOS mobile app to be launched on Apple App Store
• New Android mobile app to be launched on Google Play Store
We took over the development of the apps and released them on both the App Store and Google Play.
The Process
This project only began once we had the scope of the project defined. Our expert consultants worked with the client to define the project's scope, objectives and requirements. The team gathered information about the client's business and its target audience to create a development strategy that meets their goals.
Since our team was only brought into this project in their development phase, we still had to understand the design and design process that a third party design agency was working on. We reviewed the designs, and understood what the client's approach to design was. Then our expert design consultants created the wireframing and prototyping and the flows to make it easier to understand when they handed it over to our development consultants.
The VII Tech development expert consultants then started working on developing the mobile apps — for both iOS and Android. The development process involved coding the app's front-end and back-end features. The team would also work on integrating the app with various APIs and third party services, such as payment gateways.
Once both apps were developed, the QA expert consultants started testing it for any bugs and errors. The team started performing functional testing, usability testing, and performance testing to make sure that the apps worked as intended. Any bugs and issues that our QA experts found during this phase were all fixed and resolved before the launch.
Once the iOS and Android apps have passed the intense quality assurance testing phase, our VII Tech expert consultants launched the mobile app on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store, ensuring that it meets all the necessary requirements for app stores submissions.
The Challenges
Our challenge for this project maintaining effective communication with all parties involved. Communication was very critical when it came to working with a third-party agency for mobile app design.
Misunderstandings and miscommunications can lead to project delays and poor outcomes. It's essential to establish clear communication channels and a project management system to ensure that everyone is on the same page.
To overcome this challenge, the development expert consultants used tools including project management software, video conferencing, and instant messaging tools to communicate effectively with the client and the third party design agency. Regularly scheduled meetings, status updates, and progress reports also helped ensure that everyone is on the same page.
