The British Council in Bahrain has become one of the highest accredited places in the country to learn the English language. Having taught thousands of students, the British Council strives towards building relationships between institutions based in the UK and Bahrain.
The task was to create a new mobile app, simple and intuitive to use, which allows parents to monitor their children’s performance.
The app is set to become a direct platform for communication with tutors, keep up-to-date with events and the British Council as a whole.
With a combination of a clean and simple interface, we designed and developed a mobile application. Through the British Council app, parents can view their child’s performance, keep ahead with a fully color-coded calendar, and schedule appointments with teachers. Thus, allowing parents to stay up to date with the latest at The British Council.

To begin the process of creating the British Council app, we first had to identify all the necessary features, gain access to the school's database, and map out the user experience. Since the app was solely for British Council parents, the user requirements were straightforward.
We initially consulted with the school's administration team to understand their expectations and requirements for the British Council app. We discussed the app's key features, functionality, target audience, and technical specifications or limitations.
Using this information, our digital marketing and strategy experts conducted extensive research on the market, user needs, and competitors to develop a comprehensive strategy for the British Council App. This involved identifying crucial features, defining the user journey, and creating user personas and scenarios.
Once we had a solid strategy in place, we created an information architecture and wireframes for the mobile app, defining the layout, navigation, and content hierarchy. Low-fidelity wireframes were created to demonstrate the overall structure and functionality of the app.
After approval of the wireframes, our UI UX design experts developed a high-fidelity design for the British Council mobile app, ensuring that it aligned with the client's branding guidelines while maintaining a focus on user experience and journey.
Our development consultants then used the latest mobile and web development technologies to create the app and an admin web portal for the administrative team. The app was designed to be responsive and accessible across multiple platforms, including iOS and Android.
Throughout the development process, our QA consultants conducted rigorous testing to ensure that the mobile app met the client's requirements, was user-friendly, secure, and had excellent performance. Any issues were promptly resolved through bug fixing and optimization.
Finally after thorough testing and approval, we launched the British Council mobile app on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
During the testing phase of the project, our main challenge was identifying any bugs or issues before the app was launched. To accomplish this, we conducted comprehensive testing across various platforms and devices to ensure that the app functioned correctly. Additionally, we utilized automated testing tools to expedite the testing process and guarantee that the app worked as intended.
