It’s only yesterday that Manama was featured in Snapchat, so many people snapped photos and videos of life in Bahrain and what they loved the most about it. Within hours, the #manamalive was a trending topic on twitter and the snap was viewed more than 6 million times.
Some marketers consider Snapchat to be juvenile with terrible photos and less than amateur videos which can put some people off ; if you are a Business to Consumer (B2C) and targeting Millennials (ages 18-34) you have to understand that this is also part of its appeal to your target audience and its ever-growing base of users.(1) and here are 5 reasons why your business should be on Snapchat:
1. Snapchat is the 3rd largest social media used amongst Millennials after Facebook and Instagram.(2)
As the first rule of marketing goes: Focus on your customers.
so if that’s not a good reason to be on Snapchat, I don’t know what is.
2. Photos and videos don’t require good or any design skills. Well, maybe a little.
The point is.. it works perfectly if you don’t have time to craft professional picture-perfect posts all the time and makes your other social media tools more diverse.
3. Snapchat is the new way to make you human.
With so many adverts, content and companies trying to grab consumers’ attention on the web, users have turned into word of mouth (product reviews) and brands that put the time and effort into getting to know them and build a human relationships with them. Snapchat does exactly that.
Give your customers a behind the scenes sneak peek or a video of your staff talking about what makes them who they are.
4. Unchartered Territory for Promotions.
Snapchat is a great way to do 24 hours promotions because each snap story lasts for 24 hours and only your followers can see it. So you target exactly the right crowd and you don’t have to worry about your message being lost in the noise.
5. It’s free!
Besides Instagram, most Social Media requires money to grab users attention. This is absolutely free of cost. . All you have to do is set an account and grow your followers using other social media networks.
