My graphic design internship at VII Tech was a great experience. The workplace’s friendly atmosphere made the long working hours more enjoyable and enabled me to develop myself as a graphic designer. Waking up every morning and enduring the horrible traffic made me realize how important it is to manage time for my own sake.
I came into this internship completely clueless about UI Designing (User Interface Design). The idea of approaching it intimidated me at first, but I was encouraged to step out of my comfort zone and try out something new. With the help of researching, I managed to pick up the basic knowledge about it. I still have a long way to go of course, but I am confident enough to keep improving my skills.
Working with restraints while creating content for social media was another challenge. Restraints included fixed colors, typefaces, and themes that were provided by the client. This challenged my abilities as a designer and taught me to approach things in different ways.
Six months have passed by so quickly and I enjoyed every second of it. I can proudly say I’ve grown more confident with my abilities as a graphic designer. I will miss this place and the great experience I had not just with work, but with food as well!
